KELDARK project started in Valencia with some of the former members of a band named Katmandu, after its change of genre in 1999 fromhard rock to metal.
In their beginnings, KELDARK was formed by Andrés Pinazo as singer and lead guitar, Julián Pinazo (Hulk) as bass player, Pablo Pinazo as guitar player and Manuel Guinart in the drums. At that time, they composed the first single “Nightmare”, a clear sample of the genre, defined as melodic Thrash Metal with some influence of Heavy Metal and other varieties of Metal.
This first song was only performed in one concert (Cañada Rock 1999, with other bands like Wurdalak and Crisis de Fe) because, as it was the first creation of the band, it was not totally convincing for them. That single was never recorded and never released.
In 2001, the structure of the band changed, and Pablo became the singer. With this line up all became more stable and the band started to compose most of the songs. As an example, the first official song of the band: “Evolution”, with a clear social criticism in its lyrics. “No Respect” became the second song of KELDARK, and was followed by a softer song, called “The game”.
The next single gave the title to the band’s first ever recording: “Slow trip to destruction”, their strongest song, in both lyrics and musical aspect.
Prior to their first recording, they composed “Nightmare in L.C.”
In March 2001, KELDARK recorded “Slow trip to destruction, Part I” in R.P.M. Studios, with Roger García as producer. With this recording things started to work out, and on April 26th 2001, KELDARK performed one of its best shows ever, in “So What” music venue in Valencia. KELDARK was the only band playing that eveningand "So What" was completelly full.
Some time later, Manolo started to miss a lot of rehearsals and didn’t take his role in the band very seriously. This fact caused a slow down in musical creativity, therefore only one song was composed in a whole year. That song was called “Stealer’s Prince (Prince of the thieves)”, and was finished without Manolo. After Manolo's final departure, Fernando Pinazo (cousin of the other Keldark members) took his place at the drums. He would perform three concerts with the band: Campus Rock 2002 (alongside bands like Transfer, A Pico y Pala, Wurdalak, Allegory, Skullture and Maypang), Liceo Francés (with Idem) and Sala Fénix (with Allegory, Skullture and Anima).
In the period between September 2002 and May 2003, Pablo and Andrés left Spain to study abroad, so KELDARK's activity remained frozen during that period. In June 2003, and due to musical differences Fernando left the band and Alberto Ivañez took his place. In August, Jorge Bernabé (Heldar, Crisis de Fe) replaced Andrés until summer 2004.
When Andrés came back from his studies, KELDARK was finally ready to record its first selfproduced Lp, composed by 9 tracks.
The band started recording but unexpectedly in December 2004 Alberto left the band. Since then, the band made a big effort to continue recording and to find a new drummer. Several drummers performed with KELDARK during that period until the arrival of Nico Fernandez in Auguts 2006.
Nowadays KELDARK has finished the recording of their first album, with the collaboration of Elisa C. Martin (Dreamaker, ex - Dark Moor), Albert Maroto (Dreamaker, ex - Dark Moor), Jorge Bernabé (Heldar, ex - Crisis de Fe) and Carluti (Vahladian). They have also recorded their first “clip” (Nightmare in L.C.) again with the collaboration of Dreamaker’s singer.
